Essay

An integral system of humanization and "humanitarization" of school education in the sphere of natural science was elaborated. The system includes principles, contents, ways, methods and forms for making education more humane and humanistic. The legitimacy of joint and combined consideration of the tasks related to humanization and "humanitarization" of education was substantiated in view of the existence of common ways for the implementation of these didactic principles. It was ascertained that the main ways for making education more humane and humanistic should be the establishment of interdisciplinary links, particulary links with the humanities (e.g. history, literature, etc.), as well as proper interpretation of interrelations between a human and environment as far as ecology, regional awareness and practical attitude of education are concerned.
