The researched object: aesthetic educational process for senior pupils. Purpose: theoretical basis and experimental check methodology of aesthetic culture education of senior pupils on the basic culturological analysis of art texts. Methods: analysis of philosophical, culturological, psychological, pedagogical literature on the theme; generalisation, systematisation, talks, interrogation, evaluation, self-evaluation, establishment of experiment, analysis of self-experience of teaching the course World art and culture. Results and skills research: for the first time, theoretically the methodology of aesthetic culture education of senior pupils were established on the basic culturelogical analysis of art texts and the effectiveness were checked practically; the criteria and the levels of aesthetic culture of senior pupils in the process of the teaching course World art literature were defined. The introduction sphere: educational process at schools and pedagogical institutes.
