The object of research is an element interaction process of a diagnostic station with a vehicle. The aim of research is raising vehicular traffic safety by control quality improvement of a car state (particularly, brake systems) according to requirements of working standards with the aid of a mobile diagnostic service station. Methods of research: theoretical and experimental methods of research have been used in the paper wich are grounded on engineering knowledge principles. Analytical research results are compared with experiment results which have been obtained in the process of prototype production of the mobile diagnostic car service station (PDS-L), PDS-L diagnostic measuring equipment has been used (gas analysers, flowmeters, model instrument). New theoretical and practical results: a new criterion of inertial mass substantiation of the stand with running drums taking into account error minimization of diagnosing brake systems has been developed; a new criterion for choice of a funning drum dia meter taking into consideration of the cohesion factor with a type and losses of slip has been worked out; methods of mathematical modeling of the brake process on the inertial stand with running drums with the aim of standard values determination of test parameters have been worked out too; on the basis of theoretical results the PDS-L prototype has been produced which has been accredited by state standard bodies. The degree of introduction: the diagnostics station is used in carrying out research and contract works, in the educational process and in vehicle inspection conduction. The field of application: vehicle operation (car-care centre, motor licencing and inspection department).
