Essay

Object of research – the process of civic education of high-school students. The matter of research – the pedagogical techniques of fostering the civility principals of a pupils in the process of school extra-curriculum activities. The purpose of research is to prove theoretically and to check experimentally how definite innovative methods of civic education work in the process of extra-curriculum activities in secondary school; to show how these methods help to shape the major citizen competences. The methods of research - theoretical, empiric, statistic. Scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the research is that for the first time scientifically substantiated and experimentally checked organizational and pedagogical conditions of complex realization of innovative forms of civic education in out of class activities; further developed the idea of working out the criteria of the exponent of the degree of the civil maturity of high-school students (educational competencies, competencies ofthe social choice, communicative competencies and the competencies of the social activity). Sphere of use – in out of class activities of the secondary school.
