The problems of the system of aesthetic upbringing of senior pupils based on the anthropological and civilization approaches are investigated. The views on the nature of aesthetic upbringing given by the scientists of different periods are exposed; the system of aesthetic upbringing of students is analyzed from the historical and genetic points of view. The essence, content and structure of the system of aesthetic upbringing of senior pupils are proved. The principles of the development of the system of aesthetic upbringing in the context of the anthropological and civilization approaches are studied. The essence and the use of the anthropological and civilization approaches in the development of the system of aesthetic upbringing are exposed. The theoretical model of the system of aesthetic upbringing of senior pupils in the secondary school based on the anthropological and civilization approaches has been given. The pedagogical conditions of the realization of the system of aesthetic upbringing of senior pupils on the basis of the anthropological and civilization approaches have been determined. The complex analysis of the current state of the system of aesthetic upbringing in the secondary school on the basis of the complex of diagnostic methods has been carried out. The new view on the system of aesthetic upbringing of senior pupils has been modeled.
