Essay

The object of the research is a national consciousness development of senior pupils in the process of foreign-language learning. The subject of the research is the psychological and pedagogical conditions of national consciousness development of senior pupils in the process of foreign-language learning. The scientific novelty of the research comprises theoretical ground and elaboration of the model of national consciousness development of senior pupils in the process of foreign-language learning; the revelation of the criteria, indexes and levels of formation of national consciousness of senior pupils; definition of the complex of demands as to selection of Ukrainian studies component in the content of foreign-language learning; further development of technologies of national consciousness development of senior pupils in the process of foreign-language learning. The sphere of application comprises secondary schools, pedagogical schools and the higher pedagogical educational establishments.
