Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of texts-amendments for drafts of PACE documents on the lexical-semantic and grammatical (morphological and syntactic), and stylistic levels, to the analysis of lexical-grammatical means functioning from the point of view of achieving pragmatic amendment directivity during communication between an addresser, "interim", and "finite" addressees. The complex study of communicative-pragmatic and structural-semantic peculiarities of texts-amendments for drafts of PACE documents has given the opportunity to analyze texts-amendments influence on the edited document in the process of its legalization. Four general structural types of amendments with predicate nuclei expressed by the verbs remplacer, inserer, ajouter, supprimer are outlined in the paper. From the communicative-pragmatic point of view the three main types of amendments, that is, positive, negative, and neutral ones are formulated in the dissertation.
