The theoretical analysis of the category “educational values” is carried out in the dissertation; the classification of the educational values in the context of philosophical and pedagogical research is considered; author’s criterion approach to the educational values analysis, based on the integration principle, is worked out; the development of education value aspects in the national historical and pedagogical context using the author’s classification is analyzed; the influence of historical, political, socio-economic, cultural and educational factors on the national educational thought formation at the end of the XVIIIth – the beginning of the XIXth century is revealed; the governmental, community and educational activity of the Popivsk Academy members, their public and political views are researched; philosophical, pedagogical, literary, publicistic, epistolary works of Popivsk Academy members and their outlook on the educational values according to author’s classification are determined.
