Fridrih A. Pedagogical Conditions of National Identity Formation of Students of Higher Pedagogical Educational Establishments.

The thesis deals with the problem of the national identity formation of future teachers by means of the Ukrainian culture. It's been given the retrospective analysis of the national identity formation. It has been studied the notion, contents and structure of the national identity, means and peculiarities of its formation. The criteria of the national identity identification and levels of its development have been determined, as well as the fact that the forming of the students' national identity has unsystematic character. The thesis contains the substantiated and experimentally proved pedagogical conditions of the effective formation of the national identity of future teachers in accordance with the designed functional model. It's been also considered the possibilities of the Ukrainian national values in formation of the national identity and its influence on students. The methodical recommendations concerning the formation of students' national identity which is the basis of the spiritual development of a personality are represented in the research. The hypothesis of the research was proved experimentally.
