Theoretical and methodical bases of formation of speech culture in medical students, main points, the structure of professional speech culture, professional speech activity in the context of medical ethics are investigated. Professional speech culture is considered to be as an integral personal quality and an indicator of the medical worker's morality, his spiritual culture, the level of his education and breeding, his ability to work with people and for people (with due regard for individual emotional psychological condition of the interlocutor: euphoria, depression, inattention, disease, etc.), the ability for empathy, i.e. such principles which mean the notion "spirituality". Anticultural factors, speech-communicative defects : moral vacuum, lack of moral initiative, moral camouflage, moral anachronism, moral regression, moral deafness, moral primitiveness, moral intolerance, verbal aggression are considered as indicators of the low level of professional speech culture. The applied sphere of professional speech: psychotherapy, hypnosis, practical analysis of communicative situations, manipulational technologies, imagemaking, advertisement, public relations, neurolinguistic programming.
