The process of organization of educational work with homeless children is analyzed; the analysis of the system of the government support of orphans and children whose parents are deprived of parental rights is made; the role and place of the orphanages in the system are deprived of parental rights is defined; the main reasons which make children “go into the street” are analyzed; the differences in the development of the pupils of the orphanage, orphan asylums and boarding schools are determined; the main components of the social competence of the personality of the pupil of the orphanage are characterized. According to the results of the theoretical analysis psychologico-pedagogical conditions of the effectiveness increase of educational process in the orphanage are pointed out. The scientific-methodological recommendations as for the formation of social competence of the pupil of the orphanage are worked out.
