Essay

Thesis is devoted to the study of increasing the effectiveness of tuberculosis chemotherapy that was put into practice in the Nikolaev region on the base of molecular-genetic research of the resistant forms of mycobacterium tuberculosis to antituberculous medications. It is determined, that the population of mycobacterium tuberculosis in the Nikolaev region has the low level of resistance to the medications of fluoroquinolones group (1,0 %). The received results have shown, that low index of treatment effectiveness of the chronic patients, that discharge resistant cultures to isoniasid, using the etionamid in the treatment plan, are connected to the level of spreading of the cultures, that are resistant to this medication; the similar situation was showed in purpose of the kanamicin in treatment of the chronic patients, that discharge resistant cultures to streptomycin. The comparative analysis of the results after diagnostics of the resistant forms of tuberculosis with use of bacteriological and molecular-genetic methods has shown conclusive advantage of the molecular-genetic methods as in time (24–36 hours and 1,5-2 months), and in sensitivity (a divergence in results is 41,9 %) of the method.
