Babchenko N. Phonetico-graphic peculiarities of modern economic and political lexis in the French language.

The dissertation focuses on the study of specific phonetico-graphic characteristics of economic and political lexis' orthography in French language, which differentiate it from general lexis' orthography in modern French language. In the process of study of practical material the real inventory of graphical means used in economic and political lexis' orthography was determined. A comparative analysis of the composition of orthograms that function in the orthography of economic and political lexis was realized. The functional description of these orthograms is presented in the work. The study of graphematic means which shape French economic and political lexis was carried out. This study proves functional significance of both alphabetic and non-alphabetic signs. The last in particular cases also perform the function of distinguishing lexical units. The analysis performed elicited the fact of remarkable growth of non-alphabetic signs' content discerning function in orthography of the lexis for specific purpose in comparison with general lexis' orthography. The revealed tendency on the usage of borrowed orthograms, graphematic and paragraphemic means indicates the internationalization of economic and political lexis' orthography in the French language.
