In the dissertation theoretical and methodological bases of the development of spiritual values in senior pre-school children by means of regional cultural and historical heritage has been researched. The content of the concept "spiritual values" of senior pre-school children has been detailed and the concept of spiritual values of senior pre-school children is revealed. Psychological and pedagogical bases, its forms and methods of the development of spiritual values in senior pre-school children are defined. Much attention is given to the analysis of educational potentiality of cultural and historical heritage in the dissertation. There was analyzed and generalized the experience of pre-school establishments in developing spiritual values in senior pre-school children; a role of family in that process was cleared up; a level of maturity of spiritual values in children of senior school age was determined too. The pedagogical technology on developing spiritual values in senior school children by means of regional cultural and historical heritage was worked out and its efficiency was experimentally checked up. The necessity of carrying out of a purposeful educational activity on developing spiritual values in senior pre-school children was proved; the actuality of integration of family and social upbringing and special training of pre-school educationalists to such kind of activity was argued there.
