Object: the process of preparing the pre-school age children for school education; purpose: to systematize the theoretical gaining and to generalize the experience in the field of preparing children for school education in the history of home pedagogical science in the second half of the XXth century; methods: historic-genetical analysis, generalization, systematization; novelty: the tendencies of the development of the propaedeutics’ content if school education in the second half of the XXth century are defined in the work under investigation for the first time; results: the materials of the given work may be used in the process of studying the courses of pre-school education science and the history of pedagogical science, as well as in the practical work while preparing children for school; field: general pedagogics and history of pedagogics.
