Object - the training of primary school teachers in the second half the XIXth - the beginning of the XIXth centuries; goal - to systematize theoretical ideas and to generalize the experience of training of primary school teachers at the pedagogical courses in Ukraine during the investigated period; methods - general scientific (analysis, synthesis etc.), comparative-historical, logic-structural, retrospective, diagnostic, prognostical, praximetrical; novelty - the complete analysis of the theory and practice of psychological and pedagogical training of primary school teachers for the first time is carried out; the stages of development of vocational training of primary school teachers at the pedagogical courses in Ukraine are scientifically proved; working out of an author's special course "The theory and practice of psychological and pedagogical training of primary school teachers at the pedagogical courses in Ukraine (the second half the ХІХth - the beginning of the ХХth centuries)"; results - introduction of conclusions and recommendations into the teaching process; usage of materials of dissertation at a writing of the textbooks, manuals, other methodical literature and also during the organization of the future teachers' practice and in the process of the post-graduated education; speciality - General Pedagogic and History of Pedagogic.
