Essay

The dissertation considers the problem of inculcation the course „Philosophy of children” worked out by the group of investigators under leadership of M. Lipman in the educational process of preschool education in the USA. It surveys also the essence of main Philosophical streams and their Influence on forming and developing the child’s personality. It characterizes „Philosophy for children” as the model of reflexive education defines its technology and its main blocks (philosophically enriched stories and conversion of the class into researching community. Special attention is given to outlining the main thinking skills and habits of forming of which the program „Philosophy for children” is aimed the ways of its realization in educational process „Socrates dialogue”. It points out the main features of inculcating „Philosophy for children” on the territory of Ukraine.
