During the study of some lexical peculiarities of acronyms it is defined that the acronym becomes completely lexicalized when it is regarded independently from its prototype, characterized by its completeness, mentions some objects and phenomena etc, and also has phonetic, orthographic, grammar, lexical and semantic indications peculiar to words. The paper also contains the classification of acronyms-homonyms. The phonographic analysis shows that acronyms are characterized in general by the presence of simple monograms that proves that the acronym is almost а perfect lexical unit from the point of view of phonetico-graphic relations.
