The subject of the dissertation is a process of the professional becoming of future engineers-metallurgists at a stage of their studies in higher educational establishment; purpose - find out psychological maintenance and character of career expectations of future engineers-metallurgists, to find out the conditions of their development, ground and develop the program of development of career expectations in the process of the professional becoming at a stage of their studies; methods are theoretical analysis and systematization of scientific material; methods of analysis of documents, expert estimation, polling, psychodiagnostics, methods of the statistical processing of data, content-analysis; novelty - the studies of career expectations of future engineers-metallurgists are carried out; it is selected and a structure, composition, descriptions, functions of career expectations, factors and forming mechanisms, conditions of development is described; the picture of factors of orientation of future specialists is specified on realization of professional career; it is shown that development of career expectations takes a place through embodiment of the program, directed on their realized; results - developed and approved psychodiagnostical complex and author program of development of realized of career expectationst; the results are inculcated in the National metallurgical academy of Ukraine, in the Kryvoj Rog branch of the National metallurgical academy of Ukraine, in the University of economy and right of Dnipropetrovsk, in the National university of Zaporizhzhia.
