Object of research: socio-economic potential of higher school. The purpose of research: generalization of theoretical rules and development of the practical recommendations concerning increase of quality of process of formation of socio-economic potential of higher school in conditions of modern development of domestic economy and eurointegration. A method of research: logic generalization, eхtentional semantic, scientific abstraction and system analysis; dialectic and typelogic; the statistical and comparative analysis and synthesis; the standard and absolute scale, economic-mathematical modeling. Theoretical and practical results: is profound, have found the further development and the scientific-theoretical and methodical rules concerning formation of socio-economic potential of higher school in modern conditions are advanced. The theoretical rules are lead up to a level of the concrete practical offers and recommendations, which are used by Management of education and science of Donetsk regional state administration, Slovyansk urban advice; by a line of higher educational institutions of Ukraine for system diagnostics of quality of generated potential of higher educational institutions and strategy of its development; in educational process of Slovyansk state pedagogical university of Ministry of education and science of Ukraine. Scientific novelty: the economic-mathematical model of formation of potential of higher educational institution is offered and the information resource of formation of socio-economic potential of higher school is determined. The approach to definition of quality of generated potential of a higher educational institution is advanced; understanding of quantitative-qualitative connection between the factors of environment and components of potential, complex method of an estimation of the account by a higher school of the factors of an external environment. The strategic approach to escalating social potential of higher school on de-ontology bases is proved. The definition of concept "socio-economic potential of higher school" and understanding of specificity of formation of potential of high school is extended. The toolkit of scientific knowledge of formation of socio-economic potential of higher school is complemented. Sphere of use is the activity of Ministry of education and science of Ukraine; managements of education and science of regional state administrations; scientific establishments on a structure of scientific work; higher educational institutions.
