Garnazhenko J. Sanitary-hygieny feeds estimation and their influence on poultry products' quality and safety

Object of research: mussels' processing wastes, feeds from mussels' wastes; poultry, meat and the eggs of laying hens. Purpose of research: to determine sanitary-hygienic evaluation indices of feeds produced from mussels' processing wastes and to study the influence on productivity, quality and safety of poultry breeding production. Methods of research: organoleptic and biochemical, microbiological, sanitary-hygienic and statistical. Scientific novelty: in the result of complex investigations sanitary-hygienic evaluation of mussels' processing wastes and feeds produced from them has been determined and the influence of feeding additives on poultry breeding production, meat and eggs quality has been studied. For the first time in Ukraine the indices of safe feeds produced from the mussels' processing wastes have been determined according to the currently in force requirements of standard documents established in Ukraine. The monitoring system of quality and safety indices of feeds produced from the mussels' wastes has been suggested and scientifically grounded according to the requirements of the international system HACCP. For the first tame one the trends of environmental pollution decrease with the help of marine hydrobionts and their processing into feeds has been scientifically grounded. Degree of investigation: the microbiological express-method of mussels' toxicity determination has been introduced as the addition to "The Methods as to the application of the dry culture Colpoda steinii to examine the toxicity of meat and meat from products produced from animals and poultry" with was confirmed on the 11th of December, 2002 by the State Department of Ukraine. Suggestions concerned the production have been presented in methodical recommendations "Methodical Recommendations as to mussels' processing into feeding flour and its usage in poultry breeding" and "Methodical Recommendations concerned the increase of animal origin products production and their quality improvement on the farms of South of Ukraine". The Declarational Patent for the useful model No. 17026 from 15.09.06. "The Way of birds' flu prophylaxis and other infections diseases of poultry" and the patent for the useful model No. 48839 from 12.04.10., "The Way of toxicity egg determination" have been received.
