The object of research is the process of performance management in mechanical engineering. The study aims to develop theoretical and methodological bases of research productivity and the development of scientific and practical recommendations to improve the mechanism performance management in mechanical engineering. Methods: The dialectical method of knowledge, historical and logical, systematic and structural analysis of economic processes and phenomena, analysis and synthesis, methods of qualitative and quantitative comparisons, and methods of economic-mathematical modeling and forecasting, statistical and graphical methods. Theoretical results: is to deepen existing theoretical and methodological bases of research productivity and the development of scientific and practical recommendations to improve the management labor productivity at the national, sectoral and micro levels. Practical results: are to develop scientific and practical tools in performance management at different levels of government. Scientific novelty: the first time: the structural scheme of modernization of national economy in order to ensure its competitiveness$ improved: the classification of the factors of productivity growth; scientific and methodological tools for assessing the level of labor productivity have been developed: the organizational and economic framework to improve management productivity; theoretical bases of research management productivity.
