Essay

The thesis is devoted to the actual problem of development of students' spiritual qualities by means of aesthetic environment of the University. In the thesis scientific approaches to studying of the problem of development of students' spiritual qualities in the scientific literature are analysed, conceptual and categorial field of research is revealed, intrinsic characteristic of spiritual qualities of the person is given, educational value of the aesthetic environment of the University and its influence on development of student youth spiritual qualities is revealed. The following key spiritual qualities of student youth are defined in the thesis: ability to mastering, understanding and analysis of the scientific facts, natural phenomena, art and critical thinking; ability to perception and display of kindness, mercy, love, conscience, responsibility; ability to perception, estimation and creation of the beautiful; humanistic attitude to the world; faith. Aesthetic environment of the University appears to be the effective means of development of the named spiritual qualities which we define as the centre of high cultural and spiritual value that promotes development of spiritually-valuable qualities of the future professionals, spiritually-moral and scientifically-creative potential of student youth, aspiration to creation of beauty in all its displays - feelings, thoughts, actions, behaviour, actions. The effectiveness of the organizational and pedagogical system of development of student youth spiritual qualities by means of aesthetic environment of the University is substantiated and experimentally proved in the thesis. It functioned on the basis of the principles: compliance with culture, humanisation, aesthetization, beauty of pedagogical action, creative activity.
