Object - extracurricular educational activity in higher technical educational establishment; the aim - to find out the influence of theoretically analysed on the basis of gender approach and experimentally tested system of interpersonal relationship forming in students of higher technical educational establishments in the process of extracurricular educational activity on the positive character of interaction among students; methods - theoretical, empirical, methods of mathematical statistics; novelty - the dissertation has been the first to provide a theoretical substantiation and experimental testing of the system of interpersonal relationship forming in students of higher technical educational establishments on the basis of gender approach during extracurricular educational activity, which is understood as an integrity of goal, objectives, requirements, incorporating content subsystems of the process of students' interpersonal relationship forming and presupposes the following stages: preparatory, organizing, final; the term "interpersonal relationship of future engineers" within the gender approach has been specified as an interaction among male and female students revealing their value judgments about the representatives of the opposite sex on the basis of equity and mutual respect and is accompanied with doing away with gender stereotypes in the professional training of future engineers; the criteria and indices of the levels of future engineers' interpersonal relationship formation have been established; results - the research data have been used in the teaching process in Poltava National Technical University named after Yury Kondratiuk, Automobile and Highway Institute of the state higher educational establishment "Donetsk National Technical University", Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University; field - pedagogy
