Object: teachers’ training university management; aim: theoretically to justify and experimentally to check the system of management of distance education development at teachers’ training universities; methods: analysis, studying and generalization of practical management experience; synthesis, modeling, content-analysis, expert evaluation, ranking; questionnaire, pedagogical experiment, mathematical and statistical methods; novelty: the system of distance education development management at teachers’ training university which is based on the principles of management the educational systems theory, involves the strategic and tactical planning, creating the organizational structure, normatively legal, personal, educational methodical provision, information-technology infrastructure and the system of distance education development monitoring; aimed at the criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the of distance education development at teachers’ training universities; results: methodical recommendations for the introduction of the system of distance education development management at the teachers’ training university branch: theory and methodology of management in education.
