Object: theory and practice of general school management in the second half of the XXth century – the beginning of the XXIst century; the aim: to define the essence, peculiarities and tendencies of the development of conceptions about the general school heads’ management culture and the ways of its forming in home pedagogical theory in the second half of the XXth century – the beginning of the XXIst century; the methods: theoretical and historiographical analysis scientific literature, synthesis, generalization, classification, systematization, modelling, extrapolation; the novelty: the holistic analysis of the development of the conceptions about the general school heads’ management culture and the ways of its forming in home pedagogical theory in the second half of the XXth century – the beginning of the XXIst century has firstly been made, the division of the general school management theory into periods in home pedagogy has been grounded, tendencies of the management culture development of GEE heads have been defined; the results: the further development of the conceptions about the essence, forms and methods of the general school heads’ management culture in home pedagogical theory in the defined chronological periods has been got; branch: Theory and Practice of Education Management.
