Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the actual psychological and pedagogical problem of formation of artistic and aesthetic education at senior school. The analysis of the considered problems in educational theory and practice has been made, the concept "aesthetic and educational potential the lessons of culture" has been developed. In the paper the criteria's, parameters, degrees of artistic and aesthetic education of pupils, the comparative analysis of levels of artistic and aesthetic education at senior schools of various types and location (rural, village schools, cities of depressed areas, urban schools, gymnasiums) were made, the reasons that cause this state has been theoretically grounded. The conditions of aesthetic and educational potential of the lessons of foreign artistic culture that contributed to raising degrees of artistic and the aesthetic education of pupils as an important component of culture were defined and experimentally verified. Thanks to the author's methodological support aesthetic and educational potential of foreign art lessons has become for pupils the source of generated pulses of personality, cognitive- heuristics, creativity and activity, humanistic growth, what was confirmed by the results of the diagnosis.
