Object - the process of emotional stability forming in students of higher technical educational establishments; the aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested pedagogical conditions on raising the level of emotional stability development in students of higher technical educational establishments; methods - theoretical, empirical, methods of mathematical statistics; novelty - the research is the first to provide theoretical substantiation and experimental testing of pedagogical conditions: ensuring future engineers' knowledge of emotional stability and their acquisition of skills in using this knowledge in the teaching process; the essence of the term "emotional stability of students of higher technical educational establishments" has been specified as an integral quality based on the emotional orientation, knowledge and skills of revealing and controlling emotions in the personal-professional sphere, essential for the efficiency of engineering and technical activity and for personality behavior adequacy during solving professional tasks in extreme and stressful situations; the criteria and indices of emotional stability development in future engineers have been determined; the techniques, methods and forms used for personality emotional state correction have acquired further investigation; results - pedagogical conditions of emotional stability development have been experimentally tested and are recommended for implementation in the teaching process of higher technical educational establishments.
