Essay

The problem of upbringing of tolerance in the students of higher medical schools is being researched. The study found the essence of the concept of "tolerance" in the light of linguistic, philosophical, political, moral, social, psychological, medical, biological and pedagogical approaches. The structure, criteria, indicators and levels of formation of tolerance were defined. It is proved that the upbringing of tolerance among students of higher educational medical establishments has a specific structure and is seen in the complex of cognitive, motivational and value-based, emotional and empathic, communication criteria. The informative description of the abovementioned criteria of the development of tolerance and the results of empirical studies of the presence of different tolerant properties in future doctors were described. The pedagogical conditions of the upbringing of tolerance among students of higher medical schools (the importance of students' awareness of tolerance in the structure of professional qualities of a future doctor, creating a tolerant environment in medical school, the focus of the pedagogical process of high medical school on the formation in students the need in self-education) were theoretically predicted and experimentally tested. The system of methods and organizational forms of the upbringing of tolerance in future doctors: interviews, lectures, training sessions, analysis of problem situations, communication games, exercises, and active forms of creative interaction with teachers and future patients were developed and experimentally tested.
