Object: the management of the process of music teacher training in higher educational establishments; aim: to substantiate theoretically and verify experimentally the quality management system of music teacher training in higher educational establishments of the 3rd – 4th levels of accreditation; methods: analysis, synthesis, modeling, questionnaires, surveys, scientific assessment, pedagogical experiment, and mathematical statistics methods; scientific novelty: the quality management system of music teacher training in higher educational establishments of the 3rd – 4th levels of accreditation based on the process approach, ISO standard 9000, as well as on the concept of the Total Quality Management, is theoretically substantiated and developed; results: the methodological support of quality management system of training of the prospective music teachers (structure and management processes, stages of managerial tasks, criteria for assessment the quality management effectiveness, methodological recommendations for heads of music and pedagogical departments) is offered; branch: theory and methodology of education management
