Object - the process of student self-government organization at higher teacher training institutions; the aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested pedagogical conditions of training future teachers for educational work in the process of student self-government organization on the level of their professional readiness to this work; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the research is the first to provide a theoretical substantiation and experimental testing of the didactic conditions of training future teachers for educational work in the process of student self-government organization; the essence of future teacher's readiness to professional educational activity has been specified as a personality's psychological and pedagogical forming covering motives, knowledge, skills and habits and professionally important personal qualities that are valuable for future teacher's efficient professional educational activity; the content of structural components of future teacher's readiness to professional educational activity and criteria and indices of the levels of future teacher's readiness to professional educational activity have been determined; forms, methods and ways of training future teachers for educational work in the process of student self-government have been analysed; results - the pedagogical conditions of training future teachers for educational work in the process of student self-government organization have been experimentally tested and are recommended for implementation in the process of professional training of students at higher teacher training institutions. The theoretical ideas and practical finding of the research may be essential for lecturers running practical classes and out of class activities directed at training students to their future professional work, for those engaged in curriculum development, for writing textbooks and teaching manuals, for writing course, diploma and Master degree papers. The materials of the research will be valuable for those engaged in the sphere of professional pedagogical development; field - pedagogy.
