Essay

The thesis experimentally proves the feasibility of the creation of drugs on the basis of (2-oxoindolinileden-3)-acetic acid derivatives, that at a dose 12 mg/kg demonstrate the mnemotropic effect. Compounds 1407 (ethyl ester N-[(2-oxoindoliniliden-3)-2-oxyacetyl]-aminoacetyl acid) and 18 (N-[(-2oxoindoliniliden-3)-2-oxyacetyl]-(1-aminonaphthalene), selected for further in-depth study, show positive mnemotropic effect in the dose range of 0.6-50 mg/kg, affect all of memory phases, improve mental activity and increase animal survival in hypoxia and different models of ischemic stroke as well as relieve neurological deficit. The cerebroprotective effect is confirmed histologically. Compound 18 has an antidepressant effect. Compound 1407 shows an anxiolytic property. Compounds 1407 and 18 potentize barbiturates, and do not change the convulsive effect of thiosemicarbazide. The studied derivatives exhibit antioxidant properties. Under the influence of both compounds conjugation of cerebral catecholamine enhances. The nootropic and cerebroprotective properties of (2-oxoindolinileden-3)-acetic acid derivatives has been studied for the first time.
