Object - the art lyceum teaching and educational process; the aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated pedagogical conditions on the development of creative abilities of art lyceum junior schoolchildren; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the research is the first to theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the efficiency of pedagogical conditions of the development of schoolchildren's creative abilities in art lyceum providing for stimulating schoolchildren's positive motivation to artistic activity, ensuring value-oriented acquisition of the content of artistic work by junior schoolchildren, equipping them with the experience of artistic activity by means of artistic integration; the definitions of the term "creative abilities of art lyceum junior schoolchildren" is specified as an interactive art lyceum junior pupil's personality quality characterizing his/her ability to have value-oriented attitude, subjective understanding of the content, importance and value of the works of art reflecting certain tasks and goals; the definition of the term "development of creative abilities of art lyceum pupils" is elaborated as a notion defining the process of development of personality qualities and characteristics supplying a pupil with the skills in a certain sphere of art activity under the influence of inner and outer factors; the forms and methods of the development of art lyceum junior schoolchildren's creative abilities have acquired further study ; results - the theoretically substantiated pedagogical conditions of the development of creative abilities in art lyceum junior schoolchildren have undergone experimental testing and are recommended for the implementation in art lyceums, in specialized artistic classes at secondary schools. The materials of the research will be helpful for teachers and scholars compiling teaching programmes and teaching manuals. The theoretical statements and practical findings will be important during class and out of class activities for the students of Art at teacher training universities in order to raise the quality of professional training; field - pedagogy.
