Essay

This research focuses on the problem of military-patriotic education of the youth by means of physical culture and sports based on ethnopedagogy. The author has developed the content and ways to implement a special model of the formation of psycho-physical readiness of high school students to defend their Motherland and its implementation in their pre-conscription training. In the thesis, the author has identified and experimentally tested organizational and pedagogical conditions that favor the implementation of the experience of Cossack pedagogy in the system of high school students' military-patriotic education and raise the level of psycho-physical readiness of young people to the defense of the Motherland, i.e. mastering of ideologically-mental principles and elements of martial arts of Ukraine during the process of pre-conscription training as the final stage of the youth's military-patriotic education in general educational institutions. The conducted in the experimental group study proved significant advantages of the formation of psycho-physical readiness of students to defend their Motherland, which gives grounds to speak about the effectiveness of the proposed model for the youth's military-patriotic education by means of physical culture and sports on the basis of ethnopedagogics.
