Fedorenko D. Education of ecological culture of senior pupils in educational process in secondary schools

In this thesis the basic theoretical positions, concepts and approaches to the problem of education of ecological culture of the person in the philosophical-cultural and psycho-pedagogical contexts are analyzed; the current state of education of ecological culture among high school students are characterized. For the purpose of the disclosure process of education of ecological culture of the person we have done study of two major definitions of research: "Ecological Culture", "human ecology". As a result of the review of the literature the analysis of formation and development of domestic and foreign philosophical, cultural, psychological and pedagogical views and ideas about the nature of the process of education of ecological culture was done, the leading ideas and the basic concepts of environmental culture were identified and characterized. The criteria, indicators and levels of education of ecological culture of pupils of school age are defined. The effectiveness of methods of education of ecological culture of senior pupils in teaching and educational process of general educational institution were experimentally tested. General Dynamics of education of ecological culture of senior pupils of the experimental group from the beginning forming phase of the experiment before it is completed showed a marked increase in the number of students who showed high and medium level of education, and, consequently, a decrease in the number of respondents who ascertaining the results of the experiment phase characterized by low levels of education of ecological culture. In the control group, significant improvements in the overall dynamics of the level of good breeding of ecological culture of senior pupils from the start of the experiment forming stage until its completion was fixed. The main provisions and recommendations of the study put into practice in general educational institutions of Ukraine.
