Malaniuk T. Patriotic Education of Secondary School Pupils by Means of Tourist and Local History Work

The essence and potential of tourism and local history work in pupils patriotic education have been revealed based on the analysis of philosophical, psychological and pedagogical literature. The meaning of such notions as "patriotism", "tourism and local history work", "patriotic education of secondary school pupils by means of tourism and local history work" have been specified. The criteria (cognitive, emotional and motivational, action-practical), parameters and levels (high, medium, low, and initial) of pupils' patriotic education by means of tourist and local history work have been defined. Pedagogical conditions of patriotic education of secondary school pupils by means of tourist and local history work have been theoretically and experimentally tested. the mentioned means are: focused teachers training to use tourism and local history work in the patriotic education of pupils; improvement of tourist and local history content of secondary school pupils aimed at studying the culture, the history of Ukraine, state and traditions of Ukrainian people for independence within its historical path; diversify of forms and methods of pupils patriotic education during the organization of tourist and local history activities.
