Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of pilot safety and efficacy of anticonvulsant therapy. Anticonvulsant activity of anticonvulsants (topiramate, carbamazepine, gabapentin, sodium valproate, lamotrigine) with GABA and glutamate-ergic action established and their impact on physical and mental performance of animals shown. It was found in biochemical studies that anticonvulsants that increase level of restored equivalents of thiol-disulfide nitro-system and inhibit stress, have less severe side effects in relation to cognitive functions. Neurological, histological and morphological action aspects of the anticonvulsants with different mechanisms of action based on the immune-histochemical techniques established. Generalization of studies on white rats revealed the most effective and safe anticonvulsant drugs.
