The thesis is devoted to complex research of the problem of upbringing of humane attitude to a person at pedagogical universities students. In the thesis the theoretical analysis of humancentrism principle as the dominant principle of modern pedagogy has been made. The methodological approaches to the problem of upbringing of humane attitude to the person at pedagogical universities students have been defined and characterized on the basis of analysis of the philosophical, psychological and pedagogical literature. The essence of the structural components of humane attitude to the person has been theoretically substantiated. The essence of the concepts "humanism", "humanity", and "attitude" has been specified. The author's definition of the concept "humane attitude" has been given. It is defined as the system of moral, worldview and professional qualities of the personality, which is expressed in a pragmatic, responsible and careful attitude to others and implemented in purposeful activity, and become apparent in the conscious observance of moral principles and rules of law. The content of the notion "upbringing of humane attitude to the person has been clarified. It is defined by us as a process of acquiring of knowledge and skills of building humane attitude to elderly persons, the use and ability to transfer them that contributes to future generations' upbringing of the positive attitude towards this category of population as an integral stage of personality ontogenesis. The criteria (cognitive; emotional and value; behavioral and active) and levels (high, medium, low) of upbringing of humane attitude to the person at pedagogical universities students are defined. The effectiveness of implementation of the model of organizational and methodological system, content, forms, methods, means and pedagogical technologies (debatable; gaming; psychological; reflective; integrated) of upbringing of humane attitude to the person at pedagogical universities students have been theoretically grounded and experimentally tested. The forms of work with students aimed at upbringing of humane attitude to the person at pedagogical universities students have been disclosed: interviews, trainings, creative tasks, developmental exercises, collective discussions, student scientific conferences, round tables, group counseling, role-playing and business games, stage adaptation, curatorial hours, charity events and volunteering. The special course "Humane personality upbringing" has been worked out. It is aimed at upbringing students' understanding of the significance of humane attitude to the person display; it is directed at development of their humane feelings and humane qualities, as well as their mastering of humane values and their further implementation in everyday behavior and actions. The result of implementation of the special course is upbringing of a humane student personality. The program of the special course consists of eleven classes. Forms of work: lectures and practical classes, independent work and individual work, creative tasks.
