Object:The process of formation of knowledge of fire safety in the elementary school students in upbringing extracurricular work; The purpose: to scientifically substantiate, develop and introduce in practice forms and methods of formation of knowledge of fire safety in the upbringing extracurricular activities of junior schoolchildren; Methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization, classification, systematization of theoretical and experimental data, modeling, group and individual conversations, testing, game exercises and trainings, monitoring, pedagogical observation, expert survey; Novelty: the complex of forms and methods of formation of knowledge of fire safety in the upbringing of extracurricular work from younger schoolchildren is verified; The content of the schoolchildren's education on fire safety issues was expanded, and his knowledge about a safe algorithm of actions in fire-hazardous situations was supplemented; Results: mechanisms of cooperation of specialists of educational institutions, specialists of the Ukrainian SSNU and parents of children of elementary school age were improved to improve the efficiency of the educational process on the formation of fire-prevention knowledge
