The thesis has found the essence of value determination of personal self-realization of gifted student youth in higher pedagogical educational establishments, that is defined as a process of the purposeful, creative growth of a future specialist, caused by the need for personal self-improvement based on personal and professional values and due to the formed person's motivational sphere. The foundation for value determination of personal self-realization of gifted students – future teachers – is psychologists’ conceptual provisions on the essence of giftedness that is defined as a totality of all human qualities, which the productivity of a person’s activities depends on, and contains not only the intelligence, but also all other personality traits and features. Considering the giftedness from the perspective of development, we define it as an interrelation of internal (personal) characteristics and external factors (social environment), determining the emergence of self-realization potential in the direction of outstanding achievements, at a certain fixed moment.
