The thesis is dedicated to the experimental justification of the use of 2-benzamido-2-(2-oxoindolin-3-iliden)acetic acid derivatives as antihypoxic and neuroprotective medicines. Screening of antihypoxic activity the 24 original derivatives of 2-benzamido-2-(2-oxoindolin-3-iliden)acetic acid. The "chemical structure – antihypoxic effect" pattern has been found for them. The absolute leader – phenylethylamide 2-(benzoylamino)(1-methyl-2-oxoindolin-3-iliden)acetic acid was selected among the investigated derivatives. The leader is effective on hypoxia model with different pathogenetic mechanisms, increasing the life expectancy of animals, normalizes the parameters of prooxidant-antioxidant balance in the brain tissue and blood of animals, and also improves energy metabolism in the central nervous system. The detected accompanying nootropic and actoprotective effects, as well as in the conditions of the traumatic brain injury, reduce the emotionality of animals. According to the acute toxicity parameters studied in mice, the compound belongs to a class of relatively harmless substances, with intraperitoneal administration. The obtained data on the "chemical structure – antihypoxic effect" dependence can be used for further purposeful synthesis of new long-range derivatives of 2-benzamido-2-(2-oxoindolin-3-iliden)acetic acid with antihypoxic and neuroprotective activity.
