Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the topic of integration of the educational capacity of families, schools and communities in the UK. The study analyzed the formation of the integration of the educational capacity of families, schools and communities in the UK and defined its theoretical foundations. It has been established that attention to the integration of families and schools, the introduction of cooperation between parents and teachers on a democratic basis took place in the 70s of the twentieth century. The content of the key concepts of the research has been specified. The concept of «integration of the educational potential of the family, school and community» is considered as an association of educational, material, personnel and financial resources of the subjects of education in order to create a holistic educational process in the formation of the student’s personality and the implementation of their educational potential. The following trends in the integration of the educational potential of the family, school and community in the UK are described: the upbringing of children by social imitation of behavioral models of older generations, through direct learning of the most important skills and abilities, as well as by mastering moral standards, basic principles of family life and local community; increasing attention to the development of family, school and community relations on the part of the government; taking into account socio-economic, political and socio-cultural conditions; purposeful influence of all educational institutions on the assimilation of social experience, norms, values and attitudes of society, school, family and community. The content has been defined. That is the submission of necessary services for children and young people; joint educational projects of school and community; cooperation in creating developmental programs for youth; school and community cooperation in the field of local economy development; creation of community-oriented schools (the directions are the functioning of the school as a cultural and educational center of the community; functioning of the community as a means of education and upbringing); professional orientation of the educational process according to the needs of the community, forms and methods (financing and organization of educational master classes for parents; providing parents with information on child development issues; organization of special rental of books, video films, CDs for parents; creation of a consultative family center; organization of special family communities; development of differentiated homework for parents; conducting teacher-parent conferences and meetings; personal communication of teachers with parents or community representatives; e-mail and voice mail, online class or teacher's pages, electronic bulletin boards and other modern communication tools; holding parental meetings in community centers, at home; creation of educational complexes, family centers and centers of «integrated services» of the population on the basis of schools; volunteering and tutoring), implementation of integration of the educational capacity of families, schools and communities in the UK. The efficient ways of using the experience of integration of the educational capacity of the family, schools and community of Great Britain in Ukraine have been proposed. They are: 1) strengthening the interaction of teachers, parents and community in the educational environment of Ukrainian school at the national legislative level; 2) development of a local strategy for the development of education; 3) expansion and assurance of educational institutions autonomy.
