Object: aesthetic education of junior schoolchildren; purpose: to theoretically substantiate and experimentally test pedagogical conditions of aesthetic education of junior pupils in the process of choral activity; methods: theoretical - studying and analysis of philosophical, psychological and pedagogical, cultural and literary literature, normative sources, analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization and systematization of theoretical positions; empirical - pedagogical observation, individual and group conversations, questionnaires, diagnostic games, analysis of products of children's creativity, expert assessment in order to identify the real state of aesthetic culture of junior pupils; pedagogical experiment; methods of mathematical statistics; Novelty: the theoretical substantiation of the pedagogical conditions of aesthetic education of junior pupils in the process of choral activity, which includes: provision of aesthetic orientation of vocal-choral work in elementary school on the basis of the integration of systemic, synergetic, culturological, axiological, personally oriented, activity and communicative approaches; the essence and structure of the aesthetic culture of the junior pupil is specified; the forms and methods of aesthetic education of junior schoolchildren in the process of choral activity have been improved; methodical recommendations for teachers of secondary schools on the organization of children's choir creativity in elementary school, a complex of vocal-choral exercises, interactive games, repertoire lists for the aesthetic education of junior schoolchildren with the means of choral art; got further development of scientific ideas about the functional value of choral art in the process of personality formation, criterion characteristics and levels of aesthetic culture of junior schoolchildren; branch - theory and methodology of education.
