Essay

A complex analysis of the experience of using computer games in the educational process of comprehensive educational institutions of the USA is presented, based on author’s criteria, the following stages of the development of digital game-based learning in the United States educational space are defined: I – 1991–2009 – preparation of educational innovations; ІІ – 2010–2015 – implementation of new educational models; ІІІ – 2016–2018 – globalization of digital game-based learning and identified the specifics of each of them; outlined trends and prospects of development of digital game-based learning; the organizational and pedagogical conditions of using computer games in US comprehensive educational institutions are determined.
