Essay

The current trends of the development of education in Ukrainian studies in bilingual and Ukrainian schools of Canada are revealed: intensification of teachers' training for education in Ukrainian studies; improvement of the resource base for Ukrainians studies disciplines; institutionalization; integration of the Ukrainians studies disciplines; trend of intensive cooperation between school, community, associations; change of Ukrainian language status into "heritage" language; expansion of Ukrainian schools network in provinces; philanthropist' activities. The prognostic substantiation of constructive application possibilities of the achievements of education in Ukrainian studies formed in Canadian schooling is realized in Ukraine on legislative and normative, organizational and pedagogical and school levels. Scientific and methodological recommendations, the thematics for scientific and research works, projects, individual and group presentations, individual assignments on the problem of the theory and practice of education in Ukrainian studies in Canada are elaborated.
