Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the actual problem of education of students’ moral responsibility in extracurricular activities. The theoretical principles of education of students’ moral responsibility have been generalized in the paper. The essence of the concepts of “moral responsibility” and “education of students’ moral responsibility” have been clarified. The basic moral values on the basis of which personality’s moral responsibility is formed: freedom, dignity, conscience, as well as means and functions of education of students’ moral responsibility have been characterized. The components (cognitive, emotional and valuable, practical and activities), criteria with corresponding indicators of education of students’ moral responsibility have been determined. The levels of education of students’ moral responsibility have been revealed (high, sufficient, average, low). For the first time the pedagogical conditions of education of students’ moral responsibility in extracurricular activities (humanization of the educational environment of higher education institutions, arrangement of extracurricular work on education of students’ moral responsibility, training the curators of academic groups for education of students’ moral responsibility) have been theoretically justified and experimentally tested.
