The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical elaboration and development of practical tools for researching the improvement of professional training of employees, the substantiation of directions for enhancing the effectiveness of its organizational and economic mechanism. The role of professional training as an important factor in ensuring the competitiveness of the organization's employees is substantiated. The main components of the system of professional training of employees are determined. Theoretical and methodological problems of organizational and economic mechanism of professional training of employees in workplace are studies, its structure is substantiated. Diagnosis of the current state, tendencies and problems of development of professional training of employees at enterprises and its financial and economic support is made. This allowed to identify the problematic issues of organization of these processes. Rational forms and methods of organization of training in workplace in terms of adaptation to requirements and requests of the modern internal labour market are substantiated. The basic directions of increase of efficiency of organizational and economic mechanism of professional training of employees are offered. Methodical approaches to calculation of the cost of professional training for employees with the purpose to provide tax benefits, subsidies, dotations in the field of professional training in workplace have been developed.
