Investigation object - to teach the student foreign language vocabulary during the study of the foreign language. Investigation aim - to substantiate the conditions and develop methods of foreign language vocabulary formation in the process of training text reading on profession. Investigation methods and apparatus - analysis of scientific literature on problem of research; pedagodgical observation, interview, filling in a questionnaire, analysis of study results, analysis and process of texts to select information blocks, pedagodgical experiment. Theoretical and practical results - there is a substantiation of the mechanism of creating and formation professional foreign language vocabulary, an improvement of the model of dictionary - conceptual articles as a principle unit of the professional vocabulary formation , new methods which promote increasing the effeciency of the foreign language vocabulary formation is developed. The research results can be applied in the education process of higher mili tary and technical educational establishments. Methodical instructions and references on working out the complex of exercises to form vocabulary and to select text according to the qualitative and quantitative characteristics which can be used to compound textbooks and reference books of the foreign language. Innovation novelty - there is an improvement of the educational model of dictionary - conceptual article as a unit of the professional vocabulary, new methodology of pofessional vocabulary formation has been worked out; the mechanism of professional vocabulary, creating and formation has got it further development. Introduction extent - these methods find application in the educational process of the Borden Guard Academy of Ukraine, Technological University of Podillia, Khmelnitsky regional management and law institute, in the scientific reserch work 298-2101I. Usage sphere - the methods can be applied in the process of teaching professionally - oriented foreign language at the high educational establi shments.
