Essay

Thesis presents the results of conducted researches connected with trace elements' rations correction of cows by means of adding deficient trace elements in the form of salts and chelate complexes (with amino acid methionine) to the ration and their influence on the bodies metabolic processes, milk productivity and veterinary and sanitary data of milk quality. Complex researches have proved the content of trace elements (iron, copper, zinc, manganese and selenium) in feed stuff, water, blood and milk which help to show the level of cows providing with aforementioned trace elements. Specifically, rations were deficient in content of iron, copper and manganese. Optimal trace elements doses (salts and chelate compounds) providing of milk productivity and improving of veterinary and sanitary data of milk quality have been determined. Balancing of lactal cows' rations by chelate trace elements compounds (iron, copper and manganese) combined with methionine is more effective than using of inorganic salts. We have elaborated recommendations to use methionate as feed supplement to cows during lactation and barn-feeding period depending on biogeochemical zones of Ukraine.
