By way of an integration of a musical event as a temporal form of the aesthetical based on the interaction between the sense concentration and its vectorness, the thesis deals with the interrelated problems of the aesthetical foundations for a work of art, creative subjectivity, existential origins of aesthetization of being in its spectral completeness represented by musical symbols; as well as with the integrity crisis and identity clash inherent in modern art. The concept of the present research incorporates the substantiation of fundamental characteristics of a musical event, the revealing of the logical and notional interrelations of which has stipulated the respective notional device for analysis. The author of the thesis has formulated appropriate definitions of a musical event, musical insight, musical subjectivity; the notions of a musical sign and musical harmony are treated in their theoretical and aesthetical aspect; the interpretation of the category of musical symbol is elaborated. The specific character of musical symbolization is revealed through such notional forms as “the figure of time”, “musical presence”, “musical self“, artistic metaphysics”, “symbolic exchange”, all of which have allowed to differentiate and elucidate the structural integration of the orders of experiencing music. The combination of philosophical, theoretical and aesthetical, aesthetical and artistic, and discourse devices has determined a wide range of connections between the research and the dialectical tradition, the concepts of ontology of consciousness, the existential ontology, hermeneutics, as well as actualization and elaboration of the key trends of the musical aesthetics, analyzing the experience of which has a special place in the thesis. The work is based upon the experience of research of the Ukrainian aesthetics in understanding of the aesthetical, in interpreting the principles of historical and aesthetical analysis, in a number of questions pertaining to the relation of ontological significance and temporality of a musical event.
